CNC OPERATOR

Purpose: To perform the necessary functions to produce a quality part from start to finish per engineering specifications.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Run CNC, manual machines, or hand held tools.
• Monitor CNC machines effectively.
• Inspect parts and be able to recognize defects and non-conformities.
• Adjust machine settings when necessary.
• Change inserts and tools when necessary.
• Monitor fluids in the machine.
• Responsible for correct bin quantities and job counts.
• Maintain appropriate communication with peers, supervisors, and others as appropriate.
• Complete reports and all necessary paper work for the jobs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Regular attendance.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand up to 100% of shift.
• Ability to do repetitive motion (i.e. bending, twisting, walking)
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to follow work instructions.

Minimum Education, Experience, Skills & Training Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Manufacturing experience desired but not required
• CNC set-up experience preferred but not required
• On the job training
